25 Oct Taura Vest…new for fall…
Let me introduce you…to Taura Vest ~ my latest new design and my first design published with Knitter’s Magazine. As you have probably realized I love vests – designing them, knitting (or crocheting) them and wearing them. A vest can not only ‘finish’ an outfit, they are also great for that bit of extra warmth during cooler weather ~ spring or fall.
Taura Vest is designed for 100% cotton yarn in a finer weight. The yarn used for the sample is Halcyon’s Casco Bay Sport (Casco Bay Sport yarn review) which gives this vest year-round appeal.
A lace border around the hemline adds a feminine touch and transitions nicely to the vertical cable pattern, which helps slim the wearer’s silhouette. Easy seed stitch bands trim the fronts and armholes. Finished bust sizes are 33 1/2 (37, 40 1/2, 46, 49 1/2, 53) inches.
