Summer Knitting….

After a seemingly endless winter…I’m ready for some light, summer knitting. Light garments that help keep you cool or easy, quick projects that don’t take a lot of concentration are on my list. Here’s a couple of newly released designs that might be just what you’re looking for when you think about warm weather knitting…..

grecian elegance knit sweater sleeve detail“Grecian Elegance” ~ a lovely, simple design featuring cable & eyelet patterning on the cuffs & body. A jewel neckline and 100% sugar cane viscose yarn add elegance to this short sleeved top. Originally published in the Spring 2012 issue of Love of Knitting ~ “Grecian Elegance” is now available as an individual pattern.

Fingering weight yarn keeps this project summer time cool, and the modern crescent shape is easy to wear. Knit “Breza Scarf” in a solid or hand-painted colorway to change the overall look. Dressed up or down, this is a scarf that goes anywhere!

So what’s on your summer knitting list?

Happy Knitting ! Jean
