So What Would You Knit for an Alien?

So What Would You Knit for an Alien?

Oh, I can see your faces now – you think I’ve finally gone off the deep end – lol. No, I haven’t – not yet. I did however, happen to mention to my fellow Indie Design Gift A-Long designers that I was going to visit Roswell, NM last weekend. Last year I promised my DH that I would attend the final vintage motorcycle trials event of the season with him this year – and it was held in Roswell.

Now, we all know what Roswell, NM is famous for – the infamous, alleged UFO crash in July of 1947. So, of course, while in Roswell I had to visit the International UFO Museum and Research CenterAnd, of course, my fellow designers joined the fun – “If you see any space aliens, promise you’ll take pictures? That way, we’ll all know what to knit for them!” So – what would you knit for an alien?

Some Desert Rose Designs patterns that are part of theIndie Design Gift A-Long, and an alien might appreciate, are Menat Scarf, Diagonal Scarf, or any of the Winter’s Dream Cowl Collection (the individual patterns are eligible for the GAL prizes). Menat Scarf is particularly appropriate since it was inspired by and named for the Menat Dune Field on the planet Venus. And Reune Fingerless Mitts would keep those long, skinny arms & fingers warm!

And with the Indie Design Gift A-Long 25% discount still available for a few more days – through November 15th – our alien friend could have all kinds of lovely gifts to remember us by. Since the GAL is hosted on Ravelry, the 25% discount is only available on select patterns in my Ravelry store.

Happy Knitting! ~ Jean
