So I saw this gorgeous dress…

So I saw this gorgeous dress…

I am always on the look out for tunic style dresses that I can wear as “toppers” during the cold weather. And I saw the most gorgeous dress in Interweave Crochet’s Fall 2012 issue. It’s the “Rockin’ Red Dress” by Doris Chan ~ who happens to be one of my favorite crochet designers.

I love everything about this dress! The v-shaping on the bodice is flattering, as is the gored skirt (especially for those of us with hips). The open stitch pattern means just the right amount of warmth for wearing over a turtleneck & leggings. And the simplicity of the design is perfect; very classic. So I’m adding this dress to my ever-growing list of fall projects….maybe at the top so I can actually wear it this fall.

Here’s a photo from Interweave…in case you haven’t seen it. I bet you’ll really like it too!

Happy Knitting….or in this case….Happy Crocheting! ~ Jean
