Majka Shawl

$6.25

Wrap yourself in the colors and imagery of the earth. This lovely shawl is the 2nd pattern in “The Elements Shawls Series”.

Description

Flora & fauna are brought to mind in the stitch patterns and colors for Majka Shawl ~ soft greens, browns & blush knit in motifs reflecting leaf, forest & mountains. This is a half-circle shawl, shaped using 3 half-hex sections without discernible divisions.

Majka Shawl is worked from the neck down, with the upper body gently transitioning to a light, openwork lower body and a lace border surrounding the outer edge. This project is recommended for knitters with adventurous intermediate or above skills. While the pattern is intuitive and rhythmic, there are stitch repeats within each section repeat.

This is the second shawl in my The Elements Series and represents earth.  Atoll Shawl representing water is the first of this series. The instructions are fully written with charts for the body and border stitch patterns.
