This romantic, feminine top is inspired by the character “Elisa McKenna” from the movie Somewhere In Time. McKenna is a short sleeve sweater featuring a deep lace lower body with a simple textured bodice. The sweetheart neckline invokes the style of the early 1900s while remaining thoroughly modern. Worked in sport weight 100% cotton for a light weight and comfortable top to wear spring through summer.

Knit McKenna Short Sleeve Sweater from the bottom to top, and then split the bodice at the armholes to work the back and front separately. The sleeves are picked up from around the armhole and knit down, ending with the lace border. The length is easily adjusted by working more or fewer lace pattern repeats for the lower body.
