03 Jul More summer knitting….
One project I’ve embarked on this year is updating older patterns with new photography, because let’s face it – my photos sucked. They were really not good and not presenting my designs well. Earlier this year I met Tabetha Hedrick, fellow designer and photographer, who did some wonderful photos for me. With life intervening, it’s taken me a little while to update the patterns with their new, gorgeous photos……but I’m slowly getting there!
Today I present Menat Scarf and Atoll Shawl – both lovely projects perfect for summer knitting (or getting a head start on holiday gifts). Menat Scarf has the honor of inclusion in Storey Publishing’s Lace One-Skein Wonders, while Atoll Shawl is the first design in my Elements series and represents water. (Next in the series is “Majka” which represents the earth & will be available very soon).
Both patterns are great for a first lace project and include written directions and charts. And both will ‘shine’ in any color you choose to knit them in.
I love to see photos of my customer’s finished projects….so if you knit one, or both of these….send me photos or post them on your project page in Ravelry!
Happy Knitting & have a wonderful Fourth of July! ~ Jean
