Friday the 13th unlucky – NOPE!

Friday the 13th unlucky – NOPE!

This past Friday was one of the luckiest days for me – another lucky Friday the 13th was the day Prilly’s pups were born. Anyhow, I got home from work to find a phone message from an editor to whom I had sent some submissions. Imagine me falling on the floor as I hear that the editor wants THREE of the projects I sent! I’m speechless – 3 designs accepted – I would have been happy with one and ecstatic with two – but three – wow. And on top of this, I got an email from another editor that a submission I sent them has piqued their interest and they will be getting back to me soon on it. Friday the 13th was one lucky day for me!

Now comes knitting the samples, writing the patterns (including grading), charts & schematics. Since I include schematics with my submissions I’ll only need to refine those. The yarn suppliers have been contacted with only one left to be heard from. The deadlines for the projects are a little tight but certainly doable. While I’m waiting for the yarn to arrive I can work on the charts and sizing using my swatches.

With all this good news it didn’t even matter to me that I locked myself out of the house, accidentally, when I went out to call the little dogs and had to climb back in through a window that is 4′ off the ground (I’m only 5′ 2″ tall) and have once again bruised the back of one leg pretty good – yep, did this once before. You think I’d learn. One of these days DH is going to notice that “someone” has been standing on our deck furniture – don’t tell him it’s me. And it’s a good thing the one dog still in the house knew it was me coming in the window……..he gave me a “what are you doing” & “if I didn’t know you, you’d be in big trouble right now” look……

I hope you all had the most wonderful weekend too 🙂

Cheers! Jean

I just found your blog when I was looking at your patterns on Ravelry. Wow! What a day! Congratulations on the projects. …and that look is one of my favorite looks from my dogs. It makes me wish I could know exactly what they are thinking.
