22 Apr Afion Cardigan ~ perfect for transitional weather
While the world celebrates Earth Day and spring weather in the northern hemisphere ~ here in Colorado we are expecting another snow storm this afternoon & evening! So how does one dress for these changing conditions? Layers. An easy way to layer is with cardigans. Put them on and take them off as the weather dictates.
And knit cardigans like “Afion Cardigan” are a great choice for layering. Afion is knit in DK weight yarn (Grignasco Champagne 75% superwash merino, 25% silk – yummy) so it has just the right amount of warmth to keep you from being too hot or too cold. With basic top down, raglan style construction ~ it knits up pretty quickly too.
Afion Cardigan appears in Knitscene Summer 2013 ~ my lastest design to be published in a magazine. I am especially happy with this project and may have to knit one for myself while waiting for my sample to come back. Then I’ll have two beautiful Afion Cardigans….. I like that idea. 🙂
Here’s some photos for you…..
